Can I join Valorlub retroactively?

The Valorlub system is open to companies that wish to comply with their take-back obligation from the date of entry into force of the regulations, regardless of the date when the agreement to join the Valorlub system was signed.

In such cases, joining is retroactive and the funding contributions are due:

• as of 1 January 2007
  OR
• as of 1 January of the first year for which the participant is unable to provide evidence that he has already fulfilled his take-back obligation while he was subject to it

Joining retroactively covers you against any fines for not individually fulfilling your take-back obligation.
